The CHURCH; Can it Help?
There
is/was a night and day difference between the pre 1900 and the post 1900
governments United States Governments.
The
Pre 1900 government leaders mostly kept the government small;
the government collected enough taxes in the form of tariffs that paid for
the government with no programs. Protectionism of businesses and employee
wages were emphasized by the Republicans in the pre 1900 era.
The
closest that I could get regarding the size of the early law books – in 1936
the code of federal regulations (CFR) had about 4000 pages; the pages grew to
about 22,000 and the cost of compliance with those laws in 1960 was about $2
billion per year.
Ten Thousand Commandments
We
unwittingly we keep voting for more government; in
2014 “Federal regulation and intervention cost American consumers and
businesses an estimated $1.88 trillion in lost economic productivity and
higher prices,” amounting to roughly $15,000 per household, the report said.
We must Reduce to Survive
Federal Over-Spending
The
hoped for reduction in size of our government and its web of overreach into
our lives is necessary for our survival as a nation.
Our
excessively taxed, failing economy and excess government has produced the
record longest string of federal deficits:
·
59
years of deficits, 1957 to 2016 (No
Balanced Budgets In The Clinton Years).
·
16
years of deficits from 1931 to 1946 (ww2) and
·
15
year years of deficits from 1898 to 1913 (the down payment for the Curse of
the Progressive Years.).
On
April
15, 2016 our current year
federal deficit spending is staggering $5.3 billion per day since our nations
New Years Day of October 1, 2016. That is over 5.9 times in magnitude greater than
the 2015 deficits that the president touted in the state of the union.
Adding
to our deficit troubles, our over taxed and over coddled economy is
sputtering into another recession that is predicted to be far worse than the
2008 – 2009 experience.
It
is time for the people to wake up and realize our desperate situation.
The
scripture is rife with warnings from our Creator God about the worship of
idols that will cause the loss of the country and be taken into captivity,
oppression or death.
Leviticus
26:33 And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword
after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. (Detroit?)
Can
the Church help “We the People?”
I
believe that protection of our land is important to God and that the Church
should teach the people to know the heart of God in relationship to the Land.
That we should not sin and that we hope to prevent the government from sinning
such that we lose our land.
When
polled, over 70%
of the population responds that they are Christian; that is a super
majority. Why do our government schools teach evolution, that there is no God
when 70% of the potential voters are Christians? A super majority in the congress
can override a presidential veto!
Election
messages were
regular events in the 1700s, especially in the era leading up
to the constitution, and our declaration of independence. Here is a sermon by
Samuel West A.M. the pastor of a Church in Dartmouth; spoken to the House of
Representatives of the Colony of Massachusetts.
We
the People allowed the government to curb the effectiveness of the church in
elections.
In
1954 Lyndon Johnson was facing re-election and he was opposed by two tax
exempt groups.
Johnson, on July 2, 1954, offered
an amendment to a pending, massive, tax code overhaul bill. The bill was
supposed to modernize the tax code. Records indicate an absence of committee
hearings on the Johnson amendment. No legislative analysis took place to
examine the effect the bill and the amendment would have, particularly on churches
and religious organizations. Per some opinions, the amendment was simply
created to protect Johnson’s re-election.
The bill was signed
into law by President Dwight Eisenhower on August 16, 1954.
IRS Publication 1828,
“Tax Guide for Churches and Religious Organizations,” has the following quote
on page 7:
Under the Internal Revenue Code, all IRC Section
501(c)(3) organizations, including churches and religious organizations, are
absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or
intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any
candidate for elective public office.
The Republican and Democrat
and Libertarian and Green and other Political parties are classified as 527 tax-exempt, nonprofit
organizations.
The
political parties are tax exempt yet promote and bash political candidates
BUT the tax exempt churches are prohibited from favoring or opposing a
political candidate. This is NOT equal protection under the law, in my
opinion.
Please
note that the Supreme
Court held in Bolling v. Sharpe
(1954) that equal protection requirements apply to the federal government
through the Due Process Clause of the Fifth Amendment.
I believe that the churches can help:
In
Sunday School, in addition to God’s miracles of creation and about Moses and
Joshua the Church could teach about the founding of our own government and our
delivery from oppression.
And
the Church could teach the Constitution.
And
the churches can give messages about the principles of money inflation, how inflation
is theft from the people in favor of the government. And how the Supreme
Court has allowed us to drift from our constitution.
Note
two that the units of measure of physical dimensions and weights are
scientifically defined. Our dollar was, in 1792 precisely
defined. Silver certificates were issued during the years between 1878
and 1964; were redeemable in silver coins until June of 1967 and for another
year were redeemable in raw silver. They are still redeemable in “federal
reserve notes.”
The
current definition of the dollar is unknown to me; and it varies in value.
The Congress with its created “partner, The Federal Reserve System” work
together to create money at will.
This
system is a MARK of the current demise of our system of government.
The
church can and should help expose this terrible circumstance that we have
placed ourselves by over trust and over dependence on our failing government.
Three
of the Supreme Courts findings are
mentioned:
Hepburn
v. Griswold 75 U.S. 603 (1869); the court held that FIAT money was
unconstitutional (one of their best findings, in my opinion);
The above decision was reversed
by this decision. This decision came after President Grant (who had two court
vacancies, selected two pro FIAT money
federal judges, they were approved by the Republican Senate; by: Knox v. Lee, 79 U.S.
457 (1871), this decision led to today’s FIAT money; and
Helvering v. Davis, 301 U.S. 619 (1937), This
ruling completely upended the system of enumerated powers, in which Congress
only had the powers delegated to it by the Constitution, and eviscerated the
Tenth Amendment that restricted the federal government to its defined roles.
