WELCOME TO REVIVAL USA

IS OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OVEREXTENDED?

IF CONGRESS TAKES ALL OUR EARNINGS (100% tax)

WE STILL HAVE DEFICIT!

A 100% tax is a talking point; but, both impossible and evil. All our earnings go to the government and people would have no return to themselves from their work (no money for rent or food or pleasure).

In 2017; of the GDP of $19.4 trillion, congress authorized spending 66.9%. The amount left for the people and the states  was 34.1%.

GREAT HISTORY TO 1890 In this year the federal government took 3% of the GDP. The states and the people shared 97% of all revenue generated.

Election Day sermons' were common practice in 18th-century New England http://www.ucc.org/election-day-sermons-were-co

Before 1790 we declared independence from England, fought the “Revolutionary War,” wrote the US Constitution and it was ratified and brought into effect with approval of the ninth state, on June 21, 1788. In a 25 day election period, George Washington was elected; then inaugurated as first US president on April 30, 1789.

DEBT HANDLED PROPERLY

At our beginning as a new nation in 1791 we were about $75 million in debt (wars are expensive) by 1804 the debt had risen to $86 million. From 1805 to 1835 the debt was steadily brought down to zero!

We had a federal government that reflected the people that care about the future.

GOOD ECONOMICALLY

Wonderfully successful by 1893; with steam powered trains for transportation and mostly horses and mules for farming; we became the greatest wealth producing people in the world; doubling the wealth production of second place England. http://www.digitalhistory.uh.edu/disp_textbook.cfm?smtid=2&psid=3158

In that 27 year period between 1866 and 1894 there were 20 federal surpluses reported.

The average wage during this period was about 7 cents per hour. There was no federal minimum wage.

PEOPLE WERE BLESSED

IN A WAY THESE WERE OUR BEST YEARS

I believe that the people were blessed by Our Creator God for obeying His natural laws. From our beginning the Churches were significantly active, teaching the people how to create a Godly government, about moral values and Godly standards. Our schools taught spiritual values and encouraged the children to accept Jesus Christ as their savior. The capstone statement of the 1892 era: ““These, and many other matters which might be noticed, add a volume of unofficial declarations to the mass of organic utterances that this is a Christian nation,”” from Syllabus, page 143 U.S. 471, 1892 Supreme Court case “Church of the Holy Trinity v. United States, Case 143 U.S. 457.”  https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/143/457/case.html

WHAT WENT WRONG?

1890 THE PEOPLE ASKED FOR AND GOT MAJOR

CHANGES IN DIRECTION:

  • JOB Shortages,
  • Intervention in foreign affairs,
  • Progressivism,
  • Federal Aid to States.

OVER AND ABOVE

I believe that, in honor of the intent of our constitution, and Liberty and Justice for all; we should change the name of our “AIR FORCE” to “AIR LIBERTY.” The President’s transport aircraft could then have the call sign of “LIBERTY ONE.”

JOBS (too many people without a job)

WE MUST BE COMPETITIVE

We must be able to compete in the world, (with a balance of trade) and have reasonable pay across the earnings spectrum with no laws governing minimums or maximum amounts of pay. This can best be achieved by the employers across the private sector negotiating the proposed wage with the job applicant.

INTERVENTIONISM IN FOREIGN AFFAIRS

War with Spain in 1898; that followed by 6 non defensive wars in the 20th Century and similar warring continues to this day.

800 BASES AROUND WORLD

We established about 800 military bases around the world. See these articles and video to discuss costs and locations. Cost perhaps: $156 billion per year?

PROGRESSIVISM had good intentions.

Our federal government did such a good job in the first 100 years (except for the Civil War) (https://www.thegreatfiction.com/2015/01/17/could-slavery-have-ended-without-the-civil-war/ ) that we entrusted to that wonderful government programs for which the constitution does not grant power. We added to our budgets: Social Security in 1935, Education in 1940, and Health Care in 1965.

Big Problem: With Social Security and Medicare, huge payments were accepted from the people as investments in these programs and the government almost immediately spent that “invested money” for its routine expenses. The people invested money was spent; that debt to the people became “unfunded liabilities.”

FEDERAL AID TO STATES (Not a constitutional granted power)

Under the U.S. Constitution, the federal government was assigned specific, limited powers and most government functions were left to the states. To ensure that people understood the limits on federal power, the nation’s founders added the Constitution’s Tenth Amendment: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

We must take steps toward getting back our smaller federal government.

FEDERAL EMPLOYEES PAID ALMOST DOUBLE

Aside from the minimum wage; the federal government, with wonderful benefits pays its employees at a rate almost double the private sector. Considering the security of federal employment and the fact that the government is a servant of the people; it is proposed that the government should limit its pay to 95% of the average pay of the people. http://dailycaller.com/2017/08/01/government-employees-earn-almost-double-the-average-american/

Irresponsible Federal Borrowing; 60 Years of Deficits Since 1957

  • 2003, Insufficient income to cover deficits:
  • Federal Accounting “gimmicked” rather than using Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) see below website.
  •  The U.S. government’s fiscal ills have spun wildly out of control and no longer are containable within the existing system. As detailed in this article, the actual annual shortfall in U.S. government operations for fiscal year 2003 (September 30) was $3.7 trillion. Put in perspective, that means if the U.S. Treasury had seized all wages and salaries in 2003 with a 100% income tax, there still would have been a deficit!” www.shadowstats.com/article/federal_deficit_reality
  • The federal government, to look solvent, will continue to create money and pay all of its bills and debts with weaker money. In 2018 all federal employees will receive a 2% increase in retirement to compensate for 2017 inflation. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperinflation_in_the_Weimar_Republic

More Voter Challenges

Our National response proposals:

  • End our economic sins by restoring the gold standard that we somewhat obeyed until the 1913 adoption of “The Federal Reserve System.” Then the Nixon closing of the Gold window on August 15, 1971.
  • This Picture is worth a 1000 words regarding what happened to US trade after we totally abandoned the gold standard: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bretton_Woods_system#/media/File:U.S_Trade_Balance_(1895-2015).png
  • A “Constant Value Dollar” Amendment is proposed that is proposed to restore our economy to the gold standard.

Our Christian best response is to fund missionaries to appropriate countries, to:

·       Provide food and comfort,

·       Provide health care,

·       Educate, and

·       Present the claims of Jesus Christ who died for our sins.

Our federal government was created to establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity and foreign relations.

For our federal government to spend beyond our ability to pay is criminal. But, it has and is continuing to spend beyond our means to pay and we the people must take action to correct this problem.

It would be far better for the private sector to create programs for health care, education and retirement. No power for these is granted in our constitution to the federal government. But; like a bull in a china shop, congress has moved into areas that it does not belong.

Our congress has become too reckless and we, the Church with a super majority of Christians, I believe, are our only hope to restore our federal government to solvency.

The constitution intended to keep our federal government small like it was during our first 100 years.

Considering our debt and unfunded liabilities, please note the Biblical promise to Israel regarding borrowing:

  • Deuteronomy 28:12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

The debt has climbed to $20.56 trillion; and over and above this debt congress has created unfunded liabilities estimated to be $274 trillion.

It is incumbent on we the people to correct this problem.

FAMINE IN LOOMING

One in six persons face food insecurity in the United States!

Famine is looming in four different countries of our world, threatening unprecedented levels of hunger and a global crisis. Famine is partially caused by constant war. On the contrary, we did so well in the United States because we worked together as mostly Christians; and we educated our children. So; probably the countries in famine need Christ and food and education in order to start a turn around.

What we must do is elect a congress that will repeal the programs not authorized by the constitution and reduce federal spending so that everyone can afford to live. I believe that the private sector will develop programs that meet the needs of the people.

The need for the Church to step back into its proper role of teaching people what the congress is doing is critical.

LABOR FORCE PARTICIPATION RATE

  • During the 50s American mothers were likely to stay home and take care of their children; this effort was healthy for the children, the family and the nation.
  • A person under the age of 16 is not counted in the work force. On the farm, the children would start work at about 8 years of age.
  • The younger a person is when they learn responsibility, the better off we all are.

I believe that God can restore our government, and that God’s tool will be with the Christians and their Churches.

INFLATION, DEFLATION AND CONSTANT VALUE MONEY

The loan process, using the 10% reserve allows the banks to create money every time a loan is made. Harmful inflation occurs when the money supply grows faster then the economy. Oppositely, deflation happens when someone defaults on a loan. (The size of the economy tends to shrinks a little.)

History has shown us that the 10% reserve is too high and excess inflation causes price increases until there is a “market crash.”

To tame the so called, “boom – bust” cycle; a Constant Value of Money Amendment is proposed. That change would raise the reserve to a theoretical level that would prevent excessive inflation or deflation.

STEPS TO MOVE IN THE DIRECTION OF RESTORING OUR NATION

Here is a thumbnail list of things that we can work toward:

·       Educate our adults on Declaration of Independence and Constitution and how these document correlate with the Bible.

·       Study Constitution’s Article V and how Amendments are made.

·       Discuss current events and expose possible lies or misleads that have been told.

·       During voting season, discuss candidates. Better yet, find a candidate that would work to restore America and promote that person.

·       The best hope for the Church is to replace sitting congress persons who like the way the country is. That is probably most of today’s congress persons.

·       Study the Johnson Amendment. The Johnson amendment amended a bill in congress; it was not a amendment to the constitution.

·       Develop classes for children.

The Johnson Amendment today is used to prevent Church ministers (because they work for a “tax exempt” organization) from campaigning. This Church prohibition does not meet equal protection requirement of Amendment 14. Why? Because States are exempt from the income tax but a state governor is permitted to campaign. The same is true for all levels of government, counties or cities are not required to pay income tax but their leaders are not prohibited from campaigning.
