THE QUESTION:
Do you believe in a Creator God?
A Person who believes
in God could be called a BELIEVER
OR
Do you believe that the Universe is Self Existent and that
Evolution is the Source of Life?
A Person who believes
in Self Existence is thought of as an ATHIEST
If a person chooses to atheism, I know of no further action; that person chooses to believe that there is no God.
If a person chooses to be a believer; then it is important to know that the Bible teaches that we must be Born Again by accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior.
How to be Born Again,
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
FAITH
Romans 5:1 ¶ Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Is there a God?
Romans
19 ¶ Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
For Me, This Helps MY FAITH
I believe that the Big Bang Theory Substantiates the
Biblical Account of Creation
Then scientists, through logic said that if the universe is expanding that at some early time (they say about 14 billion years ago) the matter of the universe existed in a small – possibly invisible point. At that early time they say the point of mass expanded into all the mass of the universe. That at some point in time evolution brought about life.
I believe that the “Big Bang Theory” substantiates the Biblical account of Creation: Genesis 1:1 ¶ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:2 is the key: When I was in college (1957 to 1961) the atom was thought to be made of three primary particles – the electron, the proton and the neutron: NOW scientists tell us that each atom is made of approximately 220 primary particles (probably particles of energy).
In Genesis 1:2 after God created and the earth and the earth was void and without form – to me this means that God first created all of primary particles (about 220 per atom) of the universe; and that God designed them so that the primary particles (in time) would form atoms then elements then molecules etc until the universe became what we see today.
The Bible teaches us about our creator God; that He is
And from the Biblical account about God, it is said that we have “One God” and that One God expresses Himself to us in three facets; The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit.
The WORD (Jesus Christ)
John 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 ¶ And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
JESUS CHRIST
John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
JESUS CHRIST lived a sinless life
1 Peter
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
2 Corinthians 5:21
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
God’s Son, Jesus Christ was humiliated, tortured, crucified Died for Us
and Rose from the Dead
John 19:1 ¶ Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.
2 And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
3 And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.
4 Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.
7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
16 ¶ Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.
Jesus Yielded His Life
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. (Note that Christ gave his life – he gave up the ghost.)
40 Then took they
the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner
of the Jews is to bury.
41 Now in the place where he was
crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre,
wherein was never man yet laid.
42 There laid they
Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.
Jesus Resurrection
John 20:1 ¶ The first day of the week cometh Mary
Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre,
and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
2 Then she runneth,
and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken
away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not
where they have laid him.
3 Peter therefore went forth, and
that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.
4 So they ran both together: and the
other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.
5 And he stooping down, and looking
in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.
6 Then cometh Simon Peter following
him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,
7 And the napkin, that was about his
head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by
itself.
8 Then went in also that other
disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he
saw, and believed.
9 For as yet they knew not the
scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
10 Then the disciples went away
again unto their own home.
11 ¶ But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and
looked into the sepulchre,
12 And seeth
two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet,
where the body of Jesus had lain.
13 And they say unto her, Woman, why
weepest thou? She saith
unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I
know not where they have laid him.
14 And when she had thus said, she
turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
15 Jesus saith
unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom
seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if
thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take
him away.
16 Jesus saith
unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto
him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
17 Jesus saith
unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my
brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to
my God, and your God.
All (except Jesus Christ) are Sinners
Romans
Born Again
John 3:1 ¶
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the
Jews:
2 The same came to
Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come
from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with
him.
3 Jesus answered and
said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except
a man be born again, he cannot see the
One Way to Heaven
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Peace with God
Romans 5:1 & 2
1 ¶ Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Ephesians 2: 8 & 9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
